'Henry Cunningham, the Barnham j , boy who. stabbed the superintendent of , ' the institution, on the 30th August, , waa brought before the Magistrate's Court to-day. The question of which of the two solicitors, Joynt (instructed by Education Department) or Dennelly (instructed by boy), was to appear {or him was argued and settled by the magistrate deciding in favoar ef the latfer. Evidence was then called, to the effect that the accused had rushed at the superintendent and stabbed him, 'immediately the latter entered his cell to punish him. Alter taking the depositionsof several witnesses for the Crown, the accused, • who reserved his defence was committed for trial.
