SUPREME COURT.
Monday, Octojjbb 1. (Before His Honour Mr. Justice Conolly.) ALLEGED BREAKING AND EKTEKIHO. The re-hearing of the charge agiinst Axel Holmes for breakiug aud entering the dwelling-room of (J. Jensen, at Carville, near Patea, occupied the U'ourt the whole day. Full particulars of the first hearing, when tho jurj disagreed, wero published last week. The jury wereMei-srs. James R. Hill (foreman), Louis Uullot, L. D. Callaghau, W. Carriuk, A. L. Collins, Harry Gilmour, John lrvin, Alfred Lee, C. H. Moore, T. B, Pen warden, Samuel Richards, C. Roberts. Mr. Kerr prosecuted and Mr. Weston defended the prisoner. The jury retired shortly after 5 o'clock, and after being locked up foi several hours, and failing to agree, were discharged. His Honour directed tho accused io be brought before thi Court to-day, at 11 o'clock.
