ILAND BOARD.
The; Land Board met on Monday. Present: Messrs. Btrauchon (Chairman), Stock, and Heslop. Land applied for since last meeting was:-Section 4, blook 7, Opiku, R. Ripley and A. Wichman, 1110 acres, 0.r.p.; section 8, block 11, Cape, 0. V. Shaw, 239 acres, l.i p.; section 4, block 11, Cape, W. L. F. Chambers, 279 acres, 1.i.p.; section 5, block 12, Waitara, T. R, Lacey, 100 acres, 0.r.p,; sectisn 10, block 12, Waitara, A. H. Halcombe, 1203 acres, s.g.r.; section 7, block 12, Opaku, H. G,.Dickie, 870 acres, 0.r.p.; section 2, block 14, Pouatu, W. A. Mildenhall and F. G. Stead, section 7, block 6, Upptr Waitara; M. O'Connor to T. and J. O'Connor, section 17, block 15, Ngatimaru; Godfrey and Jones to Leslie Young, sections 8, 5, 16, bloek 4, and Eoctionß 2, 3, 4,13, 14,15, 15, block 8, town of Manaia. Permission was given to A. Thompson, senr., to surrender his lease of sections 3 and 4, Pukearuho Belt, on usual conditions, A conditional consent was given to R. E. Shewry for temporary leave of absence from seotion 88, block 16 Pouatu. ' An application by J. J. O'Shea and M. Griffin to divide section 30, block 11, Ngaire, and have separate titles was agreed to.
The Ranger reported having re-1 surned possession of section 4, bloek 13, Mimi. The land is to be open for applications.
The proposals of the Clifton County Council for expenditure of £I6BO 16s lid, thirds accrued, were agreed to, subject to the recommendation of the Ranger being adopted with regard to the thirds from Mr, Rsby's section. With reference to an application by Messrs. Standish and Kerr, on behalf of M. Zimmermann, for a title to a pieoe of an old road lying between his section and the Tariki Road, the Board were of opinion that application should be made to the Moa Road Board to close the old road, and then it could I be dealt with.
Owing to not having resumed possession of section 15, block 4, Omona, the Board were unable to deal with an application made by Messrs. Nash for the section.
Messrs. Wouldridgo were granted until November 3rd to pay arrears of rent on section 19, block 7, Cape. The Surveyor-General forwarded copies of regulations for special settlements, to be read as part of the Act of 1892.
Leases were ordered to be issued to Geo. Cornish of sections 19 and 20, bloek 10, Ngatimaru, An application by Edgar Watt for purchase of section 33 and part-section 31, Pukearuhe, was referred to the Ranger, An application was received from David Syme, on behalf of G. Moir, for permission to surrender j-aere for the erection of a publio hall at Eltham.— He is to be advised that Mr. Moir ehould consent in writing and surrender his lease and also suomit a survey of the site, and the Board will deal with the matter. The Board rose.
