At the late TaranaM Show, August 3rd and 4th (see result in papers or catalogue), my Buff Orpingtons, bred by myself, were first in cockerels and first in pullets. In Hinorcas I took first in cockerels, hens, and pullets, and specials in cockerels and bens, also my Minorca hen was the winner of silver trophy for best bird in the largest class. In Langshans I was first and special in cockerels, first in pullets, and highly commended in hens. My record at the New Plymouth Show was: Fourteen exhibits and thirteen prizes (highly commended bird not included). Inspection of birds invited. As I intend to make my Minorcas known throughout the North Island as tho leading strain, I will give two cash prizei of 10s Gd (being amount charged for Eitting of eggs), for the best Minorca cockerel and pullet obtained from eggs sold by me; the only stipulation being tbat the birds compete in the ordinary Minorca cockerel and pallet classes next year at New Pljmontn, and are entered as my strain of Minorcas.
