WELLINGTON DOG SHOW.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, August 24. The Wellington Kennel Club's Show opened this morning. There is a record entry, some of the competitors having been prize-winners in England and Australia. The championship for collie dogs was awarded to Horrax's Hereward, and for bitches to Horrax's Honeymoon, There was keen competition in both classes. Later. The Dog Show is the best yet held, both in number and quality. The exhibits of Greyhounds were especially good. The champion awards are as follows Pointers, Dr. Kendall's Tipperary; Setters, English, P. Hunter's Bi)ton Rock; Irish, W, Pollard's Duckenfield Don (also the best dog in the show); Gordons, K. Howe's Ruby Twist; Cocker Spaniel, Mr. Snell's Jack Tar; Collies, J. Horrax's Hareward ; bitch, J. Horrax's Honeymoon (also the best bitch in the show); Fox terriers, A. R. Headship's Tricky Dorsay; wire-haired, Mr. Bayley's John; Irish, Messrs, Moorhouse and Hunter's Monkland Terence; Dartde Dinmonts, Dr. Anson's Elibank Peter.
