SEVEN PERSONS PERISH. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Received 20, 0.30 a.m. Melbourne, August 19. A terrible fire has occurred at Ballarat, a store occupied by Thos. Jenkins and family and his married daughter, Mrs. Algie and family, being burned. Seven persons perished in the flames. There are no details. Received 20, 1.25 a.m. Melbourne, August 19, The victims are Mrs. Algie and her two little children and two sons and two daughters of Jenkins. Thirteen persons wore sleeping in the store. The others escaped with diffioulty.
