SPECIAL POTATO MANURE£S PER TON. KAINIT! The addition of a small proportion of KtiNir to any of the Mixture is an advantage, and can be made without extra ofcarge if specifiid by the purchasers when giving the order, MIXING Tho Manures are not mixed until the orders are sent out, and purchasers at theu option cm have the original manures Srnt to them in the maker's bigs, and make the mixtures themselvrs. SPECIAL MIXTURES can be made at any time to suit f ßimers. Note—The "M " Manure gave u best results in proportion to cost out of 19 experiments with Champion Swede Turnips at the Government Experimental Farm at Momohaki in 1897 (see page 170, Fifth Reoortof Agricultural Dapartment) : The experiments made at Momohaki with various Manures upon Turnips in the Season 1898-99 show that ihe bust result was obtained from a mixture of one-third steamed bone dm*-, and two-thirds basic s'ag (Thomas' Phosphate), whilst the best result, at a minimum cos*, was from a mixture of one-third JLawes' Superphosphate and two-thirds of the W.ME. Co's ,"M" Manure. The latter mixture con. tains the same components astheW.M.E. Co.'s No. 3 Mixture, the proportions being a little different. The former combination points to the fact, now generally recognised, that the value of basic slag, also know as Thomas' Phosphate, has been greatly uuder-cetimated. The W.M.E. Co.'s No. 4 Mixture contains one-third of Thomas Phosphate. A perusal of the report oMr. Gillanders, the manager at Momohaki, embodying the results of the experiments referred to, which will be found in the Seventh Report of the Department of Agriculture, wonld amply repay any far.ner who finds a difficulty in selectingche most suitable manures. j
