At a special meeting of the Auckland Carters' Union, it was resolved; — I " That in view of the recent decision of Mr. Justice Martin that the Carters' Union is not an industrial union, and therefore outside the provisions of the Conciliation Act, this Union respectfully asks the Government to speedily amend the Act in the direction of bringing all registered unions of woi kers within its scope; also that a copy of the resolution be forwarded to the Minister for Labour."
