Monday, June 4.—Before Mr. R, L. Stanford, S.M. Judgment went for plaintiff by default in the case of W. Falkner v. E. W. Hay; amount £l2 15s Id, costs 41 10s 6d. Mr. Wilson for plaintiff, DEFENDED CASE. Newton King v. E, W, Hay.—This was a claim to recover the balance dun op a boat supplied by phintiff to defendant, Mr. Weston appeared for plaintiff. Mr. Shaw stated tbat be had sold a boat at Waitara for Mr. N. King to tb© defendant, who had paid him ill deposit on the same, No further payments had been made since. The defence was that no gear had been supplied with the boat, and, farther, tbat defendant did not consider the boat worth the money. His Worship said that he could not consider defendant's plea, as the gear had clearly been supplied with the boat and the price arranged for. Judgment would be for plaintiff for the balance £5 6s, with costs,
