COLONIAL DIVISION PRAISED. GENERALS BRABANT AND BUNDLE EFFECT A JUNCTION. (Received 9, 9.25 a.m.) London, May 8. The splendid behaviour of General Hntten's Colonial Division is much commended, and is declared to have largely contributed to the recent successes. General Brabant has effected a junction with General Bundle's forces near Thaba N'chu. THE BOERS AND THE WHITE FLAG. Received 10,1.58 a.m. London, May 9. A party of Boers occupying a farm house in the Vet River district, under cover of the white flag, wounded three 'Westralians. THE LOSSES AT ROIDAM. DAMAGE TO RAILWAY A DELAY TO TRANSPORTS. (Received 10,1.48 a.m) London, May 9. The British at Boidam buried 35 Boers. Eight British were killed and 33 wounded. Lord Roberts reports that the railway between Brandfort and Smaldeel is seriously damaged. The bridge across the Yet Biver is irreparably injured, greatly delaying the transport of stores, t A party of Westralians discovered the concealed explosives on the Smaldeel line. WHERE IS GENERAL FRENOH Received 10, 1.50 a.m. London, May 9. Lieut.-General French's whereabouts are a mystery.
ENEMY IN FORCE ON THE ZAND RIVER. Beceived 10, X.50 a.m. London, May 9. Generals Button, Broadwood, and Hamilton reconnoitred the Zand River, forty miles north-east of Winburg, and found the enemy in considerable force.
