ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

• [FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, March 8. The body of a man about 60 years of age was found floating in the harbour this afternoon. This evening a body was found in the harbour, which was identified as that of che Rev. Gilbert, formerly of Phillipstone, near Ohristchurch. The deceased gentleman, who had retired from the Church, arrived here last month, and was stayiDg at one of the city hotels. He left the hotel about seven this morning, and nothing was known of his whereabouts until his body was found on the beach at Thorndon. , Deceased was about 60 years, and it is supposed he fell in the harbour. It is understood he leaves a widow and a family in Ohristchurch.
