TARANAKI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

The quarterly meeting of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce was held at Mr. T. 0. Kelsey's office on Wednesday night, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr. J. B, Connett occupied the chair.

Mr. James Bellringer, President of the Chamber, was granted leave of absence during his visit to England, and it was resolved that he be given a letter of introduction to various public bodies in the Old Country, i Mr. J. B. Connett, vice-President, was appointed aeting- President during Mr. Bellringer's absence. Various members expressed their appreciation of Mr. Bellringer's services and their good wishes for a pleasant voyage.

After business of a routine nature was transacted, the Chamber rose.
