As the result of Mr. Justice lucReynolds’ speech yesterday opponents of President Roosevelt's judiciary proposals have renewed their efforts to persuade at least three justices to testify their views before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Meanwhile Mr. Justice Mcßeynolds said he was pot aware that reporters were present at the banquet. None of the members of the House or of the Senate have expressed any objection to Justice Mc/Rpynolds' action, but Mr. Justice Mcßeynolds i. seemed to regret the speech was injterpreted <a-s the abandonment of the ’Supreme Court’s traditional aloofness j from political questions. I Mr. Justice Mcßeynolds in his i speech did not name Mr. Roosevelt, j but‘said acceptance of the rulings of ian impartial tribunal was evident of j sportsmanship.
