COMPANY AND UNION

STRIKE AVERTED.

Detroit.

Press Association —Copyright. 1 Pittsburgh, March 3. •'

Officials feel that the .statement of the steel troubles is particularly timely, due to the announcement that Britain Will have 25 capital chips in 1942. The Motor Product Company and the, Murray Corporation, which are manufacturing bodies and parts of motors are closed through strikes. They have 7000 employees. The Zenith Carburetor Company," which is also qlosed, has 750 workers. Two large restaurants are closed through a “sit-down” strike of Wait- ! resses and kitchen employees. Strikes : are continuing in two other indus- i trial plants and two Woolworth ■
