Taranaki Wins Prize At Smithfield. Press Association —Copyright. Received 11.10 a.m. London, February 2. Mr. H. J. Jordan, New Zealand High Commissioner, and Mr. R. Forsyth, London manager of the Meat Board, visited Smithfield markets and examined the lamb exhibits in the annual competition for the New Zealand Meat Board’s Shield. The results were: Manawatu, 1; Wairarapa, 2: Wanganui, 3; Wairoa, 4. Two of the three prizes for the best pens were awarded to Manawatu and the other to Taranaki.
