ALLEGED MURDER.
The case against Emma Caroline Fletcher, on a charge of murder in connection with the death of Ruby Friede Sandel, which had :been adjourned from the previous sitting of the Court, was next called.
The Crown Prosecutor (Mr C. R. Fell) intimated that the Crown did not intend to proceed with the charge. His Honour, addressing accused, explained that this did not necessarily mean thai, the Crown did not intend to proceed further. Accused was now at liberty, but if further evidence arose, and the Crown considered they were justified in proceeding, they could do so. It was not like a discharge after a verdict of not guilty.
