DISTRIBUTION OF AEROPLANES.

Wellington, June 10. In reference to the cable announcement that the British Government has decided to offer a hundred aeroplanes to any. Dominion requiring them, with the object of assisting the Dominions in establishing aerial forces and thereby developing the aerial defences of the Kin pi re, Colonel Bettington, Aerial Adviser to the New Zealand Government, interviewed to-Say, stated that -the value of the offer to each Dominion was worth ;ij;. least £600,000. Whether a crumble did or not ensue for the machines, It was obvious that the Dominion which jvdt in first w^ould get the nick of the insichinos. Any I)ominion desirous of obtaining them should therefore arrive at an early decision. He expected tliat the two DH4's and the Bristol fighters which were being sent out to New Zealand would *be shipped in the first week of July.
