OWEN VALLEY

PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE FORMED

The settlers of Owen Valley met on Saturday, April 12th, when JTiey decided to form themselves into the Owen-Val-ley Settlers' Progress League. Matters of grave importance to the valley were discussed, and it was decided to urgently request the completion of Newman's road, the erection of a school, and the installation of a telephone. This productive valley has been sadly neglected in the past, and the settlers feel that their just claims should be met?. The league proposes to meet every month, and to keep in touch with every progressive scheme in the province Mr D. Whitford was elected president.
