CONGR AT ULATIONS.

In September last, when Marshal Foch was hammering the Germans into submission on the Western front, theNelson City Council despatched the following cablegram to the ■Generalissimo of the Allies:— "The Nelson City Council (New Zealand) desires to express congratulations to the forces of New Zealand, Australia, and the Allies on their brilliant achievements, during the past month, and in greatest confidence commits the future to their indomitable efforts. —G. A. Edmonds, Town Clerk."
