PROPOSED SETTLEMENT,

MINERS' UNIONS,
NOT YET MADE PUBLIC.

The conference of representatives of the Coalmine Owners' Association and the Miners' Federation concluded its deliberations this evening. Certain conclusions were arrived at. the terms of which will immediately be referred tothe Miners* Unions for ratification.
The Miners' Federation delegates will visit tho various districts .and explain the find ings of the conference to the members of the unions, after which & ballot will be ts'ikcn, the result of which will br> made kr.uv. n at the earliest possible date.
The terms of the proposed settlement will nofc be made public until after the ballot -has been taken.
