The Miners' Federation at Southport resolved in favour of an increase in theold ago pension to 15s weekly; reduction of the age' limit to GO; elimination of the military spirit from physical-drill in elementary schools ; and that soldiers and sailors must be paid 6a daily. *

The Federation resolved to demand a six hours day alter the war, and sis days' pay for five days' work.

The Federation approved of the replacing of separate district conciliation boards by national boards for regulat* ing the wages of all districts.

It is pointed out that tho Federation's recent policy has consistently followed national lines.
