WHARF CHARGES.
Mr 0. R. Fell, president of the .Nelson Chamber of Commerce, has made strong representations to the Afimstw of Railways (Hon. \\\ H. Heriies) regarding new handling charges of 3s per ton, which are to come into force; on iiu> ftaalway "Wharf to-day.
Iv his, telegram to the Minister, Mr Fell refers to this additional sum a& an "outrageous imposition," and suggests suspension of the charges pending an inquiry.
The member for Nelson, Mr T. A. H. Field, has also telegraphed to the Minister, strongly protesting against the new handling charges and asking that they bo suspended in the meantime.
