Christchurch, March 6. The hearing of the grocers' dispute was concluded to-day before Mr Haggei\ Conciliation Commissioner, and practically a complete settlement was arrived at. The minimum wage was raised from £2 17s Gd to £3, with a 10 per cont. bonus in addition on all wa^es. The award will remain in force for two years. A counter-proposal by the employers regarding employment of female workers at certain wages was held over and will be mentioned in the Arbitration Court when the award is ratified.
