It is reported (says the Christchurch "Press" ) that the Protestant Political Association has found that its connection with the Orange Lodges of the Dominion has somewhat hampered it in the matter of securing members, and that at the' conference held recently in "Wellington it was decided that/ 'whilst fully recognising the assistance rendered by the Orange Lodges in.the early stages of the foi'ma£icn. of the associaI tion, all connection between the association and. the Orange Lodges be comI pletely' severed in April ne,xt.
