MELTING DOWN BRONZE STATUES.
London, Sept. 10. The Amsterdam correspondent of the •'Daily Chronicle"'" says" that''the German Government has commenced to melt clown bronze monuments for munitions. A complete inventory has 'been prepared in order of merit', the least artistic monuments being melted down first. . The general belief in artistic circles is that this-decision is ihe only happy 'consequence of the war, as it will rid the world, of much rubbish. S
