BREAKING AND ENTERING.

At the Magistrate's Court yesterday three inmates of the Slcko Training •Farm-were charged with stealing on September 19th 16 tins of preserved fruit,' -valued at 14s, the property of Edwin Shiallbono. Tho boys were nlso charged with breaking a pane of glass, of the value of 12s (id, the property of Edwin Smallbonc. The accused pleaded guilty to both charges. On the first charge the Magistrate convicted and ordered each of xho accused to receive three strokes of the birch and be returned la the institution. On tho second charge tho boys were convicted and discharged. The punishment ordered by tho Magistrate was later inflicted by Constable Falconbridgo in the presence of Senior-Sergeant Barrett md Mr L. Bradstock, manager of the Stoke Training Farm.
