(From "The Colonist,'' March 32.) " On the site formerly occupied by the old Golden Fleece Hotel a new brick hotel has been erected, and is now ii l occupation under the title of the .New I Dominion. The appointments are up-to-date, with a bathroom and lavatories at each end of tho iioor on which are the sleeping apartments. '■Mr Ross, the proprietor of t.lie nouse, is a licensed driver, and his motor car will meet all trains and steamers, .it being bis intention to cater for the country and visitors' trade. The hou.se is most conveniently situated, being within two minutes' walk of the centre of jthe city., and no doubt enterprise wiil bo rewarded and the JNew. Dominion receive a fair share of the custom sought Messrs Chamberlain and Stannard were the contractors for tfte erection of the building, the decorative work being cairied out, by Messrs Lcuisson Bros., ami the furnishing by Messrs I'nzc an-.l Sons. . -
