The report showed a membership oi? 262. There were 31 "licensed surveyors on active service, while 58 cadets hadi enlisted, eight of whom had been killed.. It was expected that good would re-' suit from the representations made to the Surveyox-General regarding the employment of unlicensed' men on survey, work.
The Council of the ( Institute, feltf that the time was noc opportune to bring about the federation of the New Zealand and Australian Institutes.
