The takings for the concert amounted to £.. and auction sales to £.9 os 6d. The net^ proceeds for the evening reached £33 10s, and Jam informod° that thc> sci-00l chiklren put their prixn money to this amount, which broucht the money obtained up to something over £40. This kind action speaks well for the^Canva-stowii school children. Great praise is due to tho teachers- for the admirable way in which the children' are trained on these occasions.
