WELLINGTON- MOUTERE FRUITGROWERS.

ANNUAL MEETING

(From "The Colonist," August 9.) ■At the annual meeting of the Welling-ton-Moutere Fruitgrowers' Association, held on Thursday last, there was a good attendance of members. Thet annual report and balarce^sheet were adopted. The work of the secretary and the ■committee in connection with the national a-pplo fair .was mentioned, and the opinion was expressed that had it not been for the association it would, have been a hard matter to hare held the'show. . There are 42 financial members on the association, and after paying all expenses £3 3s remains. The fpllowing officers were all reelected for the ensiling year :—President, Mr T. W. Kirk; vice-president, Mr W. Baldwin; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. A. Daryall; committee, Messrs Anderson, Horn, Porter, and Fraser. A epecial vote of thanks uas passed, to the secretary, who was X>resented with a fountain pen by the members. , , A disscussion took place relative to the Nelson Co.-oj>. Fruit Co. The feeling of the meeting was that, whilst a majority of the directors of the Co-op. Company should reside in Nelson, not fewer than two Wellington men should bft on the board. It was, however, left entirely to the discretion of the individual members as to liow they should vote.— "Post."
