Bray Bros., Ltd. (Dunedin), report as follows for the week ended July 22:— Wheat: The market is firm par* ticularly for Velvet and farmers are not inclined to sell as it is anticipated that prices are not yet at top. Fowl wheat also is in short' supply and prices are firm at quotations. " "N Oats: The market is steady and shows no alterations during the week. All bright lines of, A. grades, meet with a normal demand. The North is not buying" heavily but on the other hand very little shipping space is wasted. Chaff: Clean,'bright lines meet with ready sale at quotations and there has been slightly more enquiry during tho week for medium lines. Potatoes: ; The market shows no .alteration on last week's prices, 'but there is. an upward tendency as it is now folt that Otago's potatoes will barely suffice for its own" needs. Onions: Fair shipments are coming forward from" Melbourne and prices are firm. ■ -. Eggs: Prices have again advanced Id, and all supplies are meeting with ready sale. Desserb Apples- These arc in short supply and all coloured lines have been bringing al normal pr'Vos, retailers paying as rmich as 4d per 11/. for first grade Scarlets. The following prices wcv realised during tho week :— Wheat: Velvet, os 2d to y.s 3d per bushel; Tuscan 4s Bd. to 4s 9d per bushel; best fowl 4s 4d per bushel. Oats: A. Gartens 2s JOd per ■bushel'; 8.. Gartons 2s 9d .p-er bushel; A. Spar-, rows 2s 9id per bushel. For shipment: A. Gartons 3s Id per. bushel; A. farrows 3s per bushel.
