Tke report of the confinittee inquiring into the causes of death and invalidity, recommends the Federal Goyornment'to make it unlawful" for anyone n«t being a legally qualified medioal practitioner to treat venereal disease. Every sufferer should be required to consult a doctor, who must notify an appointed health authority,.the latter having power to intern'until cured cases not receiving medical attention. It also recomr.-ended the prohibition of advertisements of remedies. If an infected person marries vi shout previously informing the oth-A] party such an act should be .a ground for a decree of nullity provided action is taken /within, a year after marriage, the children thereof to be legitimate. .
