THE BUILDING DESCRIBED.
The new Nurses' Home is a handsome. two-storey building, erected, in ferro-concrete with tiled roof, and rough coated on the outside. It occupies -a floor space of 11 Oft by 50ft, and the interior partitions are of trussite. A wide passage runs from one end of the J building to the other, and tho kitchen, i dining-room, and one portion of the Ipasstagc, being divided by folding doors, i can be converted intx> one large recreajtion room when required, 50ft by 24ft. There are 27 bedrooms in the building. 6 being downstairs and '21 upstairs. All itho rooms upstairs open on to balconies 'at the back and front of the building, i Downstairs art> three r-ittirig-rooms, a library, and throe mu\ses' bedrooms, with bathrooms. lavatory, etc., also thf quarters of tho' domestic staff, consist ling of three bedrooms, bathrooms, Injvatory, etc. There is also the dining' 1 rcom and kitchen, and bins for the storjage of wood, coal, etc., all under cover. jTJpstairs, in addition t« the bedrooms 'there aro bathrooms, lavatories, and :■ jwashhonse, for the coin-cnience of th. j nurses. The l>uilding is well finishe< 'throughout, and was the subject o'. (much favourable comment yesterday . iMr A. R.
