A satisfactory settlement has been arranged in respect of the claims of leading Chicago meat packers against the British Government regarding wholesale seizures of meat cargoes, destined ostensibly for n-r-utrnl countries, valued at throe millions sterling. Many of the cargoes were held up in Holland, Sweden, Norway ami Denmark and others were sold where the circumstances required.
