GERMAN PLOTTERS.

A SPY AND TERRORIST

ARRESTED IN LONDON

(.Received April 16, 5.5 p.m.)

London, April 15

The arrest of plotters in America who are alleged, to have been concerned in the manufacture of bombs to blow up munition works and ships was due to the arrest in London of a man giving the name of Bridgeman Taylor, who arrived in England early in the war. The seizure of Captain yon Papen's papers enabled proof to be obtained that Taylor was in Germany's employ. Taylor came to England to offer himself to do work under the British Government. His real name is yon der Goltz, and it is understood that he claims relationship with the German fieH marshal of that name. , Taylor is believed to have been concerned in the conspiracy to destroy munition works and bridges in the United States and Canada. He also helped to foment trouble in Moxico. He was one of the chief German terrorists in America. When he was confronted with the evidence which was in the hands of the British authorities, yon der Goltz sought to make terms, giving the full history of the conspiracies. After consultation with the United States authorities, Great Britain decided to return him to the United States to give evidence- against his fellow-plotters. Yon der Goltz's arrival in New York was promptly followed by the arrest of seven other plotters.
