AQUATIC CARNIVAL AT THE PORT
ANNIVERSARY DAY ATTRACTION
Everything is in readiness for the Aquatic Carnival which is to lie held at the Port to-morrow '(Anniversary Day) in aid of the Red Cross and Sick and Woundsd Funds. There uro ,a large number of boat races of all descriptions on the programme, and an excellent programme of shore sports has been added. Duck-hunting, they greasy, jpole, and barrel-riding will be in evidence, and there'will be a number of booths and stalls near the scene of activities. A Union Jack presented by; Messrs Snodgrass and Sons, will be sold by auction during the dpy. In tho evening .tjioro will 'be a ball, and illuminated craft are to be judged at S o'clock. .
