As will he seen by an advertisement appearing in this issue', another import-, ant meeting of fruitgrowers fn»;i th© Stoke and Waimoa districts will be held in the Public Hall, Stoke, this evening, at 8 o'clock. As announced m these columns or. Saturday last, Mr 11., jG. Hill, who is in Nelson at tht* invitation of tha Stoko growers to advise' them on the question of organising their industry, and who delivered a most comprehensive address on th© subject on I'ilnay last, was asked to meet the- provisional directois who were appointed gome time- ngo, when the growers decided k) form a co-opera-tive company to control their industry.: This meeting look place on Saturday] evening, with the result that a very ■satisfactory anangement was co.me to 'with Mr HiJl. The directors are anxious to lo<e no time, and, although the noti-eo is short, they are convinced' that a large muster of growers will be seen at Stoke to-night, &t that the arrangements may be confirmed and a start made at once with what is universally recognised as an absolute necessity, .it. is very rarely 'the good fortune o'i those concerned to find available a man of Mr Hill"; ability -and experience and it ;iow rests with the growers theni selves to see that the maximum result i« obtained from his services.
