SALE OF WORK.
CHRIST CHURCH LADIES' GUILD,

Success attended the sale of work held,by the Christ Church Ladies' Guild in the Vicarage grounds yesterday afternoon, over £40 being raised for the church funds. Articles of needlework made by the Guild during the year were on gale, though it may be mentioned that on every alternate working day the members have worked for the Belgian and other war funds. There were also we'll stocked stalls At which regetables and other: produce, pot plants, cut flowers, cakes and sweets, were disposed of; and afternoon tea was procurable in the Vicarage. Mra. Sadlier opened the> Bale, and there was a good attendance. Selections were played during the afternoon by an orchestra composed of Misses Rowe (2), Joyce and Fairhall, Mrs. Bush, and Messrs. Fairweather, McLachlaii andl Jackson. Mrs. Bush sang "The Promise of Life." The stallholders were a» follows:— j
