The Kaiser telegraphed to vori~"Bulow that English troops were useless, that the Russians in the next fortnight would be expelled from Galieia, arid that a great German army would be sent against Italy if she dares to move.
The Vatican directed German and Austrian members of religious orders and students to leave Rome.
German and Austrian journalists have quitted the city.
The Government suppressed 40 passenger trains on the great lines, alleging a difficulty in securing coal.
Austro-German troops, artillery, and ammunition are hurrying to Trieste.
German troops are waiting to be "conveyed to Bosnia and Dalmatia.
