FURTHER SLRVEY REQUESTED
A letter was read from Mr. ThomasGawthren at last night's, meeting ofj the City ..Council, requesting that°tha survey of a new diversion of tho roac! to »be formed on the Port Hills from Washington Valley to Bishopdale ha completed as soon as possible. It was desirable to obtain an exchange of the new road now asked to be laid off for, the road intersecting the middle of the Observatory site, before he could off en to pay for the formation of a carriage drive from Washington Valley %o Bishopda-le. H The Council decided", that the survey be put in hand at once and'completed as speedily as possible.
