We fully rcaliso hw much wo. are thought of in tho Dominion; and I trust that NewZealand will always iwo good reason Ito be proud of <ier ship. I can only 'say, tv.rhout any hesitation, \lv\t all on" baard fully realise how the eyes of, the .yhole Dominion are on us, and we are fully determined that, eoine what may we shall do our utmost for New Zoakrd and tho Empire So far the ship has never been hick or sorry, and since war was declared we have always been ready for- any call, which speaks ! volumes for her builders. When it j ramr»'lo chasing the Germans on January J-ith, she far exceeded any previous KT,ee'l, and no harm \yas done; and if necessary we are reuuy to try and exceed trait."
