GERMAN CONSULAR INTRIGUES
EVIDENCE IN THE HANDS OF THE
BRITISH

The Press Bureau states that documentary evidence has reached the Government proving that German Consular officials intrigued to facilitate the invasion of Persia.. Wassmuiss, Consul at Shiraz, was recently at Cairo an 1 Constantinople, and was in possession of thousands of violent and inflamma tory pamphlets in English, Urdu, Hindustani, Ptmjaubi, and Sikh, calling upon the Indian Army to kill their officers.
Correspondence between the Gdrman Legation and the Consul at Boshiro shows that a large consignment of arms and ammunition reached Bushiro secretly and was taken up comr ry by officers and gendarmerie for the Persian Sheiks of Raisole, who wore desirous of attacking Bushire. The legation promised to combine the Raisohs' attack with a German movement wl»ich had already been secretly arri-ged,. and which was designed to win ovor a!!
