[United Press Association.]

Christchurch, Nov. 24

Mr Philip Snowden, M.P., who is at present visiting Christchnrch. was accorded a civic reception and entertained by the New Zealand Club. He has given several addresses to crowded audiences. In the course of a speech at the ■Choral Hall he said that tho whole of his twenty years' political life had been spent in aiming for and bringing about peace amongst democracies ." AVhatcver were his views on Britain's foreign policy, they were the views of all Radical and Labour parties, and of nine-tenths of 'die members of the Liberal party. Again, ho was said to be a Little Englander. He was quite content to bear that reputation when it was also the reputation of John Morley and David Lloyd George. _^
