Volunteers for' the Nelson infantry section of the Expeditionary Force are still being called for.

It is expected that vhe Mounted Rifles squadron for the Expeditionary Force will leave Nelson this evening. Ihe hour at which the squadron will pass through the town before its embarkation will be posted at the newspaper offices.

The Wellington-Naples mail despatch of July 3rd arrived in London on the 13th inst., four days late.

William Lane, aged 63, a widower and an old citizen, committed suicide at his son's residence, Hastings, on Friday evening.
