A farmer at Wessom, Missouri, claims to have got in a recent consignent of poultry a hen covered with Sin fur in lieu of feathers.

A plucky woman's fight with a burglar was described at London Sessions tho other day, when Curt Midler, 20, a German,,, waiter,- pleaded guilty to burglary at Marble Arch House, W., and to inflicting bodily harm on Mrs Isabella Bertrand. Muller was sent to prison for cix months and ordered to be deported. Mrs Bertrand was coming from the basement early in the morning when sho met Muller on the stairs. Ho struck her five or six blows on the head with a jemmy, causing one very serious wound, but she overpowered him and set on his until the police arrived.
