PARLIAMENT'S FAREWELL

ADDRESS

Ottawa, June 11

Parliament adopted an address of farewell to the Duke and Duchess of Connaught on the occasion of their approaching departure.

Mr Borden said the Empire to-day was a federation of sister States united by the ties of common allegiance. The Duke had fully studied Canadian conditions, not sparing himself. The Duke was an optimist amongst a nation of optimists.

Sir Wilfrid Laurier joined in the tribute, pointing out tho Duke's unswerving devotion to duty at all times.
