WORST IN THE COLONY'S HISTORY.

FISHING FLEET PRACTICALLY WIPED OUT.

Ottawa, June 10,

In the House of Commons the Hon. J. D. Hazen, Minister of Marine, announced that a cyclone struck the New Brunswick fishing fleet and had also destroyed many of the fishermen's homes.

Mr., Hazen described the disaster as the worst in New Brunswick's history. The small schooner fleet was practically wiped out. The Government was ready to grant assistance when deserving cases were investigated.
