NEW CANADIAN MAIL SERVICE.
FORTNIGHTLY SAILINGS

Ottawa, June 9
The Canadian Government is establishing a new mail service with fortnightly instead of monthly sailings as hitherto. Two of the fastest CanadianPacific Empress liners will bo included in the service. The old contract has expired, and the British Government refused to continue its contribution.
