The Dean of St. Paul's (Dr. Inge), lecturing before the Unitarian Association, said that the revolt against determinism and intellectualism was in full blast. Ghos,ts again walked, the medi-cine-man had reappeared as the faithhealer, and the Christian Science churches did a roaring trade.

The modernist movement, he added, had stripped the figure of Christ of all that Christians loved to see, and left only an enthusiastic peasant. Professor Eucken's philosophy was the true line of progress as far as religion was concerned.
