The entires for the Epsom Handicap total-203, including Ventura, Beau Soult, Bon Reve, Bon Ton, Cherubini, Valhalla, and Anna Carlovna. For the Metropolitan there are 194 entries, including the some New Zealand horses, excepting Ventura. The .entries for the Melbourne Cup total 260, compared with 233 last year; for the Caulfield Cup 248, compared with 230; for the Australian Hurdle race 58, compared with 61, including Mere, Forest Prince, and Wimmera. The entries for the Australian Steeplechase number 54, the same as in the previous year, including Forest Prince.
